Improve

Extensions, waterproofing, finishing.

Smaller-scale work on buildings that already exist. We take these on selectively and we will tell you plainly if it is not a job for us.

01 / WHAT WE TAKE ON

The work that suits us

  • Extensions. Adding to a building in a way the existing structure can actually carry, which is an engineering question before it is a building one.
  • Waterproofing. Roofs, terraces and wet areas. Usually urgent by the time anyone calls, and usually cheaper than the damage it prevents.
  • Finishing upgrades. Bringing a tired or unfinished house up to a standard you would want to live in or sell.
02 / HONESTY FIRST

Why we say no to some of it

Renovation is the category where owners get hurt most often, because the real cost is hidden inside a structure nobody has opened yet. A quote given without knowing what is behind the wall is a guess dressed up as a price.

So we take this work selectively. Tell us what you need and we will say honestly whether it is a job for us, whether it is worth doing at all, and whether the money would go further somewhere else on the building.

03 / STRUCTURE FIRST

When repair is really an engineering question

Cracking, sagging, damp that keeps coming back: these are symptoms, and patching the symptom is how people spend the same money three times. If the cause looks structural we will say so and look at it properly first. That is engineering consultancy, and it is usually the cheaper end of the conversation.

Tell us what is wrong with it.

A photo and a description is enough for a straight answer.
